Inspector Ken Brown
Inspector
Ken Brown
Inspector Ken Brown is the senior officer in charge of this unit.

Based at Divisional Headquarters, Perth, the Road Policing Unit comprises one Inspector, three Sergeants, 26 Constables and two members of support staff.

The Unit provides specialist support to the Division and works closely with our partners Perth & Kinross Council, BEAR Scotland, Scotland TranServ, VOSA and HM Revenue & Customs.

The main objectives of the Unit are the reduction of road traffic accident casualties and to detect and deter travelling criminals who use the extensive road network in the area.

With a road network of approximately 1660 miles, the Unit is deployed in line with the National Intelligence Model to ensure that we can be most effective in achieving our objectives.

In order to achieve a reduction in road casualties, speeding, failing to wear a seatbelt, drink driving and inappropriate driving manner remain high priorities of the Unit.
