Inspector Sandy Brodie is the senior officer in charge of this area.

He is assisted by six Sergeants.

Section 2 is geographically one of the largest sections in the city. It comprises the areas known as Lochee, Charleston, Menzieshill and Fairmuir. The area is a diverse one with large areas of council housing stock, private housing association and owner occupied properties.

The section includes Ninewells Hospital and Medical School which employs in the region of 7000 people. With the large number of patients, visitors and others who visit the hospital on a daily basis, the hospital has the population of a large town.

Policing in the area is based at Lochee Police Office in Liff Road. The Section is staffed by an Inspector who has operational responsibility for the area, assisted by 6 Sergeants and approximately 60 Police Officers. These officers provide 24-hour cover, focusing on the 4 Force objectives.
