PROJECT ARGUS EVENTS

Following on from the two successful Project Argus retail events held in Dundee and Perth, Tayside Police CTSAs will be facilitating in the near future Project ARGUS (Night Time Economy) events near you.

Project ARGUS (NTE) events
  • Dundee - event held on 18 November 2008
  • Perth - inaugural event held on 25 July 2008
Feedback from the Project ARGUS (NTE) event, Perth, 25 July 2008
  • Overall an interesting exercise, well put together and presented
  • More impactive than Project ARGUS Retail, a very enjoyable day and enlightening
  • Extremely interesting and hard hitting
  • DVD well put together but not as good as Project ARGUS Retail
  • It made you feel aware of the situation
  • A very worthwhile event
  • Thoroughly enjoyed it - went away thinking about what we could and would do

What is Project ARGUS (NTE)?

This is the latest version of Project ARGUS produced by the National Counter Terrorism Security Office (NaCTSO). It will assist managers of premises involved in providing services in or to the night time licensed trade.

Tayside Police CTSAs look forward to meeting you at one of these events and helping you to understand your importance in keeping Tayside a safe place.

Project ARGUS

The official Project ARGUS web page can be found on the NaCTSO web site.

Project ARGUS commenced in 2007 and has developed from its original conception - counter terrorism advice for the retail sector - to several custom made packages for other sectors of industry and business. This will soon include the Night Time Economy (NTE).

How much will it cost?

Project ARGUS events are free of charge.

Who will run the event?

Project ARGUS events are most successful when run in partnership. Tayside Police CTSAs work with representatives of the specific business sector, our city and town centre management teams (including DUNCAN, the Dundee Coordinated Anticrime Network team and the Safer Cities team in Perth) and our local councils.

A Tayside Police CTSA will facilitate each event.
