Tayside Police
Security Systems and Alarms - Security Systems Policy

  Introduction
  Keyholder Registration Form
  Security Systems Policy
Tayside Police, together with every other Scottish Police Force introduced a security systems policy on 3rd June 2002.

The Policy was introduced due to the excessive number of false activations emanating from security systems and the Scottish Police Service found it necessary to adopt a policy relating to the installation, maintenance and proper use of such systems.

The aims of the Policy are
  • to improve the quality management of security systems
  • to reduce the volume of false activations notified to the police
  • to allow the Police Service in Scotland to maximise their use of resources
