This followed a recruitment drive in 2004 which resulted in the appointment of 17 new players, making it the largest band the force has ever had with a current pool of over 35 members. Progression soon followed in 2005 with several successes recorded at the Majors, the highlight being a second place at the European championships. The 2006 playing season was one of the most successful ever in the history of the band. We were crowned Scottish Champions, British Champions, Cowal Champions and a 2nd place in the World Championships culminated in the band being crowned Champion of Champions, Grade Two. The Drumming Section led the way, also being crowned Champion of Champions. Please explore our section of the force website by using the menu on the right hand side of the page.
