The home of Brechin City Football Club is Glebe Park, which is situated off of Trinity Road (B966 Brechin to Edzell Road), map ref 599606.

THE GROUND

The ground is segregated internally by way of metal gates which can be closed and locked when necessary however for normal games this is not in use and spectators can chose where to stand in the ground. The old stand is on the south side and is seated, with extra payment required and there is a strict no smoking policy in force.

The new stand is to the west end just inside the turnstiles. This is also seated and contains the designated family section but there is no extra payment required for this section. The ground and its main turnstiles at the west end, is fronted by a car park which has a restricted opening off of Trinity Road and this is normally full at an early stage.

There is a further double turnstile at the east end, accessible from Southesk Street via a pedestrian walkway. The ground is covered by the SFA regulations and there are no other special conditions applicable.

The management of Brechin City Football Club earnestly request that visiting spectators refrain from parking their vehicles in the nearby Safeway store carpark.

TRAVEL DIRECTIONS

The town of Brechin is completely bypassed by the A90 dual carriageway on the west side and there are to main arterial routes into it. Drivers approaching from the south who use the south exit route (A935) will find themselves in the congested town centre before they can get to the ground.

All drivers are therefore strongly recommended to use the route from the northern end of the bypass, which is the easiest way to the ground.

From the south

Drivers approaching from the south will encounter signposts for Brechin and the Brechin Castle Centre but should ignore this exit and continue northwards for approximately 3 miles till they see the next exit signs.

They should then leave the dual carriageway by the ramp on their left. (also signposted for Edzell). This will take them down to a roundabout where they should turn left then through the underpass and up to another roundabout where they should continue straight ahead on the B966 into Brechin.

From the north

Drivers approaching from the north will be on the southbound carriageway of the A90 and should leave this at the junction with the B966 to Brechin, which is well signposted.

Drivers from both directions will then be on the same road. They will enter the 30 mph limits then as they descend the slight incline of Trinity Road, they should look for the entrance to the ground on their left side about 300yars further on. It is not signposted.

For normal matches there will be ample on street parking available outwith the areas marked with no waiting cones. At larger matches the ground will be segregated. Visiting supporters will use the west terracing and turnstiles, accessed through the car park, as described above. Home supporters will use the east terracing and turnstiles accessed from Southesk Street.

Local traffic

Local traffic approaching from the south will enter the town on the A933 across the river Southesk and should turn left alongside the river till the road turns right and uphill to the give way junction with the A935 from Montrose. Drivers turn left then sharp right into Southesk Street.

Local traffic from the east will enter the town on the A935 and will continue along Montrose Street till they pass drivers from the south waiting at the give way. Give them a wave then turn sharp right into Southesk Street.

Drivers from the south and east will then be travelling uphill in Southesk Street till they encounter the mini roundabout at the junction with Clerk Street and Trinity Road. Turn right then look for the entrance to the car park on the right side.

Larger matches such as cup ties against Premier league teams where a considerable travelling support is anticipated will have the traffic routes well sign posted and special parking restrictions will apply which will also be sign posted. There is no railway station serving Brechin and the nearest is in Montrose.
