Assistant Chief Constable Clive Murray Mr Clive Murray was appointed Temporary Assistant Chief Constable for Tayside Police in March 2008.

Clive Murray joined Tayside Police 1976 and currently holds the rank of Assistant Chief Constable. Prior to this he was the Commander of Headquarters Division which covers business areas including Performance Management, Corporate Communications and Planning, Business Change and Improvement and IT Business Support. Prior to this Mr Murray commanded the Force's Eastern Division, working closely with Community Planning partners in Angus. He has also been head of Crime Management in force initiating a restructuring of that business area.

Mr Murray was Venue Commander during the G8 Summit at Gleneagles Hotel in 2005 and chaired the Joint Tactical Planning Team for that event. He has been involved with the Association of Scottish Police Superintendents for 12 years, holding a number of posts including President between 2006 and 2008.

He chairs a number of national working groups and holds the portfolio for Management of Offenders and Police Uniform and Equipment.
